Can I buy my Dairyland Auto® insurance directly from you or can I use my local independent agent?
View

Either option works for us. You can get an insurance quote for a Dairyland Auto policy right now, or you can talk to an independent agent who offers Dairyland Insurance. Depending on your state, buying directly from us might save you money on additional fees charged by the agency, potentially making us your cheapest option. If you want to find a local agent, we can help with that, too.

What happens if I get a DUI/DWI?
View
If you are convicted of a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) or DWI (Driving While Intoxicated), you are held accountable not only to your state judicial system, but also by your insurance company. On top of legal fees, tickets, and any required classes, your insurance premium may increase significantly. You might need to file for an SR22, or you might lose coverage from your insurance company altogether. Learn how a DUI can affect your insurance and how Dairyland® can help.

What is a “non-owner” insurance policy?
View
Non-owner car insurance (sometimes referred to as “non owner” or “nonowner” car insurance) is designed for people who don’t own a car, yet need affordable Liability coverage when they drive. This coverage can protect you against a financially crippling blow in the event that you’re at fault in an accident. This particular policy is often the cheapest coverage option available if it’s the correct fit for your needs. Learn more about non-owner car insurance.
Is there anything I can do to keep my older driver parent safe on the road?
View

As your parents get older, driving might become more challenging. Older drivers should be aware of how their age may impact their driving performance so they are best prepared to make changes if necessary. Whether it’s recognizing physical limitations or allowing for extra planning and drive time, helping them re-evaluate their driving habits is essential to help ensure their safety on the road. Help older drivers do the following:

  • Get routine vision and hearing tests
  • Enroll them in a senior driving course
  • Know their route
  • Consider other methods of transportation
  • Check the weather for their drive

Being proactive and performing periodic self-assessments can make a big difference to keep them on the road as long as possible.

What is “Pay as You Go” car insurance?
View
Dairyland Auto® offers low down payments and monthly minimum payment plans, so you can “pay-as-you-go.” This also includes reinstatement and reissue options, as we understand that sometimes life throws you a few curve balls.
What is an SR22?
View
An SR22, sometimes referred to as “SR-22” or FR44, is not an insurance policy. It’s proof for your state’s government that you actually have car insurance coverage. There are a variety of reasons the state might require an SR22. An SR22 is a Certificate of Financial Responsibility (CFR) provided through your car insurance company confirming that you meet your state's minimum car insurance requirements. In many states, we can issue an SR22 the same day of request for free. Learn about our SR22 insurance.
