Celebrating its 18th anniversary this year, the Las Vegas Bike Fest runs concurrent with the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo). Las Vegas is known as a spectacular vacation and convention destination. This year’s Las Vegas Bike Fest, combined with the AIMExpo event, is part of the Powersports Industry Week. That makes for an epic four-day weekend. If that isn’t enough, on Saturday, October 13, you can also attend the AMA-sanctioned Monster Energy Supercross.
As a bigger-than-life destination, nothing in Vegas is done in a small way. From the casinos and hotels to the streets illuminated by neon lights and the stage shows and concerts, Vegas style is over the top. The Las Vegas Bike Fest follows this tradition with a rally overflowing with events, motorcycle shows, music, and contests, including:
When you reach rally overload and need to spend some time riding your motorcycle, consider visiting the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. When it was constructed during the Great Depression, the dam was the largest ever built. It creates Lake Mead, the largest reservoir by volume in the United States when full. The Colorado River, which carved the Grand Canyon, was harnessed to provide hydroelectric power and water for irrigation and communities in Arizona, Nevada, and California. Lake Mead is a recreation area offering a wonderful getaway from the lights and sounds of the Las Vegas Bike Fest.
