If you’re a dual-sport rider, you know cruising on good pavement is fun—but the adventure begins where the pavement ends. There are places where smartphone coverage fades. Where the road is hardly more than a single dirt track. Only a dual-sport motorcycle will take you up that mountain trail to reveal spectacular vistas few people ever see. Adventure riders go where eagles soar.
The Mother Rally Tellico Plains is the mother of a growing worldwide rally movement known as March Moto Madness. It’s a gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts who love to camp, ride dual-sport and adventure motorcycles, and share good food and friendship. It started as a few friends spending a few days riding and camping in the mountains of eastern Tennessee in 2006. It’s now grown to include sister events in Asia and the United Kingdom. The core idea is to get out as early as possible in spring to ride motorcycles, camp, eat, and share what they call “mucho moto madness”.
The rally offers riding opportunities for motorcycle riders of every taste. There is a groomed gravel road known as the Dirt Dragon, several single-track routes, plus world-famous pavement.
The rally offers a motorcycle camper or RV experience, and some features and fun events like:
