At Dairyland, a brand of the Sentry Insurance Group, we’re proud to honor riders who make a difference—recognizing the heritage, charitable work, and giving nature of bikers around the country. National Motorcycle Day™, celebrated on the second Friday in July, is about more than just the ride—it’s about freedom, passion, and the communities we build together.
As a leader in affordable motorcycle insurance, we support riders from every walk of life and invite you to join the celebration. Learn more about National Motorcycle Day™ and how you can gather, take part, and ride with purpose.
National Motorcycle Day™ takes place each year on the second Friday in July—making July 10 the day to celebrate in 2026. It's a time for riders everywhere to honor the spirit of the open road, connect with their communities, and give back through group rides, charity events, and local gatherings.
For generations, riders have been a force for good, turning passion into purpose. Many of today’s riders focus on community service and activism such as benefit rides honoring fallen soldiers, toy runs collecting gifts for underprivileged kids, and poker runs raising funds for local causes.
Veterans who rode motorcycles overseas often came home and kept riding—founding clubs and organizations that helped their communities heal, connect, and grow. Today, riders continue to make a difference, one mile at a time. Groups like these keep the spirit alive:
National Motorcycle Day™ is about more than just one ride—it's about the lasting impact riders make every day. Whether you're cruising the open road, supporting a cause, or sharing your story, there are plenty of ways to celebrate:
Simply ride—and take a moment to appreciate the freedom that motorcycles bring.
Plan or join a charity ride to support a cause you're passionate about.
Donate to or volunteer at your local food pantry.
Clean up your neighborhood or a favorite ride route to help your community shine.
Plant a tree or contribute to a local conservation effort.
Visit a local motorcycle museum or attend a community bike night.
Support veteran-focused and children's charities like Hogs for Heroes or B.A.C.A.
Share your riding story on social media using #NationalMotorcycleDay—and tag Dairyland on Facebook, Instagram, and X.
If you haven’t already, finding your local motorcycle club (MC) or riding club can open the door to some amazing experiences. Group rides, rallies, and workshops are a great opportunity to surround yourself with the culture, befriend other riders in your area, and show off your bike.

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) is a nation-wide motorcycle organization with hundreds of local charters. The AMA advocates for the rights of bikers in government, preserves motorcycle history, and oversees many motorsports competitions and recreational events. They’re a great resource for education and guidance on all things motorcycles.
Of course, there are many localized independent riding clubs as well as clubs associated with other organizations like The American Legion. Check with your local club for National Motorcycle Day™ events.
There’s no shortage of opportunities to gather with other members of the motorcycle community. Here are just a few of the great events coming up in 2026.
