Route safety tips

The Hippie Hollow Horror route is full of curves, blind corners, and occasional gravel patches, so staying alert is key. Pay attention to posted speed limits—some tight curves drop to 10 mph—and ride defensively, especially around the blind spots.

Given the technical nature of the route, it's recommended for more experienced riders. Wildlife is also something to watch for, especially near dusk when deer and even bats from Austin's famous Congress Avenue Bridge colony might be active.
