When to ride the Turquoise Trail

April to October is often considered the best time to ride the Turquoise Trail. When planning your trip, consider what you'd like to see and do—each season offers something different.

In spring, wildflowers and blooming mountain landscapes line the route, while fall offers vibrant views of the changing foliage. The summer months, however, can bring extreme heat and busier roads.
