Rental reimbursement coverage

If you have rental reimbursement coverage on your policy, we can reserve a rental for you while your car is being repaired following a covered incident. Plus, the coverage pays for your rental vehicle, up to your coverage limits.

If you need to use this coverage now or have questions about adding it to your policy, talk to your Dairyland agent or claim representative.

Auto glass repair

We recommend getting a windshield fixed or replaced at the first sign of trouble. Not only can a crack impair your vision, it can also make your windshield weaker and more likely to fail.

How to report an auto glass claim

Before you submit your claim, make sure you have:

  • Your car insurance policy number
  • Your vehicle’s year, make, model, and style
  • The date when you noticed the issue

We can transfer you to an auto glass service that will schedule and coordinate your glass repair or replacement at a shop or location that works for you.

Find a repair shop

There are some things in life you can’t control—for example, being involved in an auto accident. However, the post-accident process isn’t completely out of your hands.

If you have Dairyland comprehensive and collision coverage and call to report an auto claim, we’ll ask whether you have a preferred repair shop. If you do, we’ll work with your chosen shop throughout the claims process to help get your vehicle repaired and back to you.

Auto roadside assistance

Our roadside assistance coverage* offers 24/7 service for a range of issues you can experience while driving, including:

  • Emergency services for a battery failure, flat tire, or mechanical breakdown
  • Resupply of your vehicle’s fuel, oil, fluid, or water
  • Towing
  • Lock-out assistance that covers the cost of unlocking your vehicle if you lose your keys or lock them inside
  • Extrication assistance that covers the cost to pull your vehicle out of a ditch within 50 feet** of a paved road or highway

How does auto roadside assistance work?

If you need to request roadside assistance, simply call the toll-free number on your Dairyland ID card
The roadside assistance company will:

  1. Gather your information
  2. Contact a local service provider
  3. Dispatch them right to you

This means you don’t need to worry about sitting in your stranded car, trying to find nearby towing companies or locksmiths. We’ve got that covered.

These services are available anytime, day or night—even on liability-only policies. And because roadside assistance isn’t a reimbursement program, you’ll have fewer hassles to deal with after the service is performed.

How to purchase roadside assistance

Roadside assistance is a type of optional car insurance coverage you can add to your car insurance policy. We offer two tiers of roadside assistance coverage:

  • Basic: Covers up to $75 for each incident
  • Expanded: Covers up to $100 for each incident

If you’re already a Dairyland customer and would like to add this coverage to your existing policy, talk to your agent or give us a call. If you’re thinking of becoming a Dairyland customer, consider adding roadside assistance to your policy.
