Need an excuse to get out and ride? Look no further than our favorite day of the year—National Motorcycle Day, taking place Friday, July 9, 2021.

Get ready to ride

After a particularly long year, folks are looking forward to more hopeful, positive opportunities to reconnect with those around them. That’s why we’re encouraging friends, family, and motorcycle riders across the country to jump on their bikes on July 9, do some good in their communities, and share their good deeds with us by tagging Dairyland® on social media and using #NationalMotorcycleDay.

National Motorcycle Day celebrates the continuous, positive impact riders have on communities throughout the nation. To help kickstart acts of good in honor of National Motorcycle Day, we’re riding with our friends, Marcus Luttrell and Whitney Meza.

Marcus and Whitney will be riding in Houston, Texas, and Waupaca and Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to do good by giving back to those who’ve helped keep our country strong.

Meet our riders

Marcus Luttrell

Marcus Luttrell

Marcus Luttrell is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of “Lone Survivor” and “Service: A Navy SEAL at War”. Marcus joined the U.S. Navy in March 1999 and became a combat-trained SEAL in January 2002. After serving in Iraq for two years, he was deployed to Afghanistan in the spring of 2005. As a SEAL, Marcus Luttrell was trained in weapons, demolition, and unarmed combat. He also served as Platoon medic. After recuperating, he redeployed to Iraq for a second tour. In the spring of 2007, Petty Officer 1st Class Luttrell retired. He was awarded the Navy Cross for combat heroism in 2006 by President George W. Bush. To honor his lost comrades from Operation Redwing, Marcus Luttrell established the Lone Survivor Foundation in 2010, dedicated to honoring and remembering American warriors by providing unique educational, rehabilitation, recovery, and wellness opportunities to U.S. Armed Forces service members and families.

Whitney Meza

A Wisconsin native, photographer, military wife, and mom of two, Whitney has a passion for the next generation of riders. When she's not on two wheels traveling the country, she can be found making memories with her family. On National Motorcycle Day, Whitney will be riding in Waupaca and Oshkosh.

Riders give back

From charity rides to give-back events, motorcycle riders are some of the most generous people you’ll find on the road. In fact, according to Dairyland research, 60 percent of motorcyclists volunteer to support causes they’re passionate about.

Whether you’re a longtime rider, new to riding on two wheels, or somewhere in between, we hope you’ll take this opportunity to support your neighbors and community. We want to show America hope, thanks, and action for the people and places that need it most.

You can join the ride to spread good

Need some inspiration to get you started on your own acts of good? What about surprising an elderly neighbor by mowing their lawn, organizing a charitable ride for a community member in need, or simply buying coffee for the next person in line at a drive-thru?

All seemingly small acts of good can make a difference. Let’s make an impact, together, on National Motorcycle Day 2021.

Help share the spirit of National Motorcycle Day

Share photos of your acts of good in your community by tagging Dairyland on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using #NationalMotorcycleDay. We might share your posts on our social media pages to help spread more good.

Enjoy the ride!
