What’s required of all motorcycle riders in New Jersey?
To ride a motorcycle in New Jersey, you must be at least 17 years old and have either a motorcycle endorsement on your driver’s license or a separate motorcycle license. Beyond license requirements, here are some other rules of the road you should know:

Horn: Motorcycles in New Jersey are required to have a working horn.

Passengers: Passengers must have a proper seat, foot pegs, and wear the same types of protective equipment as the driver.

What are the motorcycle insurance requirements in New Jersey?

U.S. Route 9
Running parallel to the coast, Route 9 offers riders scenic views of New Jersey—rural, urban, and suburban. The best time to check out the route is during the Roar to the Shore Motorcycle Rally.
Fort Lee Loop
This 100-mile loop will take you through tree-lined scenery that features small lakes with beautiful nature views over a small mountain. Get a glimpse of the Hudson River and New York from the Palisades Cliffs.
Central Jersey route
Enjoy some of the classic Jersey sights in the short 30-mile Central Jersey route that winds its way through area mansions and along the Navesink River. You'll also get scenic views of Sandy Hook and New York along the way.
Skylands
